Car advertisement had its humble beginnings as far back as 1899. Ford was one of the early pioneers and one of the few companies that tried to sell the car simply as a form of transportation. Their ads promoted the cars every day use, wide range of purposes, and ability to be a mode of transportation.  Henry Ford's introduction of mass production into the automobile industry reduced the price of the automobile and brought it to mass-market status. The first car advertisement to run in a national magazine appeared in the Saturday Evening Post on March 31, 1900.The W.E. Roach Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ran an ad featuring its jingle, "Automobiles That Give Satisfaction." This change in availability and affordability of the automobile resulted in a significant rise in automobile advertising. The world of car ads never looked back and has evolved to include the classic and muscle car advertisements we enjoy today.
